Description
The other half of the final assignment in my Drawing I class from the Spring.
We were to take our class supply list from the beginning of the semester and choose a certain number of things from it, arrange them in a suitable still life, and render them in charcoal.
I'm also happy with how this one turned out. I know there is a perspective problem in some places (trust me that was a problem all semester with me...), that it is quite darker than it should be in others, and that given it to do over again, I probably could improve now.
However, given when I started the semester and by the end of it (after enduring a fair amount of classroom torture) it was an improvement over the first stuff I turned in.
Materials used:
Standard Charcoal - b & w (don't remember the brand - sorry!)
Stonehenge weighted paper 30" x 22" - of some kind...
Blending stump
Gloves - (To keep my hands from smudging everything!)
Stuff in the picture:
Workable Fixatiff
Ink well
Blending stumps
Chamois cloth
Pencils
# 12 brush
Eraser (?)
